How do I create the video?

We suggest two options:

  1. You may send us PPT slides and an audio voiceover, which we will combine using our automated technologies, or

  2. You may record your video using a GoPro, mobile phone or laptop camera.

We provide post-production services which include audio equalization, closed captioning, editing, title/conclusion graphics and other enhancements at no charge. We also offer language translations for Chinese, Hindi, Portuguese, Spanish and others.

What content should I include in my video?

Current trends in research or diagnostics are very popular. Literature summaries and conference takeaways are also useful.

What's the optimal length for my video?

We suggest 3-10 minutes, depending on your topic. Surgical procedures may be longer, but please divide your video into sections (for example, parts 1, 2 and 3), with each part less than 10 minutes.

How can I improve the audio?

We recommend using an external microphone such as the Audio-Technica ATR-3350IS (US$ 29 on Amazon) or Blue Snowball iCE Condenser Microphone (US$ 49 on Amazon). If this isn't possible, use your headset microphone but position 4-5 inches from your mouth. After recording, use a basic noise-removal filter to optimize your audio quality.

How can I improve the video?

A few suggestions:

  • Record in HD video. Set your Apple iMovie or Windows Movie Maker settings to HD resolution.

  • Select 16:9 settings and fade transitions. If you're creating a video from a slide presentation, configure your PowerPoint settings to 16:9 slides and use fade transitions.

  • Use plentiful lighting. If you're shooting live-action video such as a surgical procedure, provide lighting from various angles.

Can you recommend tools to create videos from a screenshare?

For recording a screenshare, we recommend Loom or Apple iMovie and QuickTime. If you'd like to create graphics and visualizations, we suggest BioRender.

Can I request a "starter" package to help me create videos?

Absolutely, please email us at to request your video starter package. Each package includes a high-quality microphone, mobile device stand and other helpful items.

How can I send video files to you for post-production and uploading to Case?

We can use Dropbox, Google Drive or WeTransfer, whichever you prefer. Please send your materials to

Can I see some examples?

Here’s a PM&R example from Dr. James E. Eubanks, University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC) and a cardiology example from Dr. Sergio Kaiser, Rio de Janeiro State University. More on our YouTube channel.
